
Christine Ecclestone
Christine is a Registered Physiotherapist, Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Christine received her undergraduate education from the University of Waterloo where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, participating in the co-op stream. She continued her education at the University of Western Ontario where she earned a Master’s in Physiotherapy degree. In addition to her physiotherapy training, Christine has completed additional course work to practice pelvic floor physiotherapy.
She has completed continuing education courses in acupuncture, soft tissue release and has conducted quality of life research with breast cancer populations. She has a special interest in women’s health and decided to pursue becoming a pelvic floor physiotherapist. She has completed additional course work focusing on pelvic pain, incontinence, pre-natal and post-partum care as well as diastasis recti.
Christine treats a wide variety of symptoms and conditions of the musculoskeletal system including arthritis, scoliosis, ankle sprains, rotator cuff tears , low back pain and much more. She takes a special focus in pelvic health, pre-natal health and post-partum rehabilitation. She is passionate about functional movement patterns and their impact on pain. She will work along with her patients as a team to develop an individualized treatment plan to help them achieve their rehab goals. She has an extensive sports background having grown up as a competitive gymnast, and transitioned into coaching gymnastics for 5 years.
Treatments may include manual therapy, soft tissue release, dry needling, activity modification and exercise prescription.
Outside of work, Christine is an avid Cross-fitter with a personal interest in health, fitness, cooking and travel!
